The Loan Assistant collects and processes supporting documentation for mortgage loan applications. They are responsible for ensuring files adhere to company policy as well as regulatory and secondary market guidelines. They answer inquiries and keep personnel and customers updated on the status of applications and any exceptions. Serving as a liaison with service providers and vendors, they ensure quality and timeliness of service. You will collect, verify, document and distribute information required to submit a mortgage loan file for underwriting approval, request documentation as needed to overcome any underwriting conditions, and coordinate the closing dates and times with all parties involved. A high level of communication, polished customer service skills and the ability to time-manage are crucial
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Ability to work a five day work week Monday through Friday from 8:30am-5:00pm (overtime as needed).
While performing the responsibilities of this position, the employee is required to effectively communicate verbally. The employee must be able to effectively operate a keyboard. The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, and reach with arms and hands and occasionally lift and/or move up to 10-15 pounds.
