  • Overview

    Responsible for overseeing all sales/production activities of HarborOne Mortgage (HOME) retail branches.   Expand production in all channels and grow market share in all geographic areas that we do business in.  Focus on recruiting quality branches, loan officers and maintaining/developing current sales team.  Work with various departments within HOME to develop products, programs, and training tools to promote business. 

     

    Responsibilities

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

     

    • Set long term vision and develop goals for sales team.  Provide leadership.  Growth is primary focus.
    • Look for opportunities to add new production:  LO’s and/or Branches
    • Focus on production and profitability.  Find ways to balance sales/profit.  Work to reduce costs and increase efficiency.        
    • Oversee existing branches/loan officers.  Help them become more successful by removing obstacles and streamlining processes.
    • Work with Leadership team to provide support to all sales people.  This will include marketing support, training, compliance, and product/pricing support.
    • Work with various department heads to ensure that HOME has the tools necessary to compete for market share.
    • Assist other departments to ensure that HOME Sales is working in a compliant and quality-conscious way.
    • Work with operations leadership to cultivate a strong relationship between sales and ops.
    • Assist with troubleshooting issues when escalated to a higher level.
    • Serve as a liaison between the customer, sales representative, and the underwriting department.
    • Provide feedback to sales team with respect to performance rankings, quality of work, profitability, efficiency, etc. 
    • Update sales team on results, challenges, changes--face to face meetings, regularly scheduled conference calls, and effective email communication.
    • Ensure HOME has updated tools to effectively sell in today’s market.  Expand CRM platform and smart tools (i.e. Mortgage Returns, Simple Nexus, Lending Manager, websites, etc) 
    • Keep HOME current with the changing environment.
    • Work with training/marketing teams to ensure impactful work is being done.
    • Other duties as required

    EDUCATION:

    • Bachelor’s degree
    • 10+ years mortgage sales leadership at the regional or area level minimum.
    • Previous leadership experience

     

     

    PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

    While performing the responsibilities of this position, the employee is required to effectively communicate verbally and in writing.  The employee should be skilled at presenting to groups in live face-to-face meetings and via conference calls & webinars.  Ability to travel is a requirement of the position.
