Act of the liaison between Branch personnel and Corporate Operations personnel to ensure all business channels are supported with exceptional customer service, responsible lending and integrity. 



  • Assist with day to day troubleshooting for the branch network with LOS (Loan Origination System), underwriting, the Operations team, etc.
  • Monitor and respond to the Branch Support email box
  • Serve as a technical resource for the sales team, answering questions about program requirements
  • Provide underwriting training and coaching for the sales team and other members of Branch Support
  • Provide interpretations on guidelines for sales staff.
  • Review tax returns to help Loan Originators arrive at what income they may use in qualifying
  • Review scenarios and possibly thin loan files prior to underwriting submission and give guidance on how a file may be structured
  • Review and understand investor guidelines to identify when exceptions may be possible
  • Review active listings to determine potential property eligibility or challenges.
  • Help identify trends lacking at branch level to develop training materials
  • Act as subject matter expert on Company’s business operations and flow
  • Use independent judgment in problem solving loan related concerns at both branch and operations level
  • Back up Branch Support Liaison as necessary
  • Other duties as assigned



  • Understanding of the HarborOne Mortgage operations process
  • Residential underwriting experience
    1. Familiarity with FNMA, Freddie Mac, USDA, FHA and VA Underwriting guidelines
    2. Familiarity with State Housing Programs
  • Ability to find answers quickly using AllRegs or Investor websites
  • Superior communication skills/customer service skills
  • Excellent organization skills
  • Knowledge of reviewing residential appraisals
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast paced environment
  • Ability to work additional hours as needed (if approved) to stay on top of workload
  • Ability to develop and maintain good relations with all retail branches
  • Ability to maintain composure in stressful situations
  • Ability to handle minimal travel to branches if necessary



  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • At least 5 years related mortgage experience, with focus on underwriting experience


While performing the responsibilities of this position, the employee is required to effectively communicate verbally. The employee must be able to effectively operate a keyboard. The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, and reach with arms and hands and occasionally lift and/or move up to 10-15 pounds.  Vision abilities is required by this job include close vision.
